OUR STORY

BRIDE

HAYLEY ALEXANDER

From Castle Rock, Colorado

Bruno, the dog, from Columbus, Ohio

Hayley and Daniel met in 2017 while both attending the University of Colorado in Boulder. They instantly connected over their shared interests in science, vegetarian diets, and their above-average heights. Their first date began with Hayley picking Daniel up from his apartment for a drive into the mountains. Accompanying them was Hayley’s four-month-old kitten, Benny, whom she had adopted just two months earlier.

They soon began seeing each other regularly, meeting for lunch at Boulder staples such as Chipotle and The Sink, while discovering new perspectives on the city they both called home. While doing college life together, they spontaneously adopted a new cat, Björn, to give Benny a friend (turns out, they never became friends).

After graduating with a degree in Advertising, Daniel promptly attended flight school at Centennial Airport to pursue his dream of becoming an airline pilot. Hayley, who earned a degree in Integrated Physiology, continued her education in Chicago to become a Registered Nurse, while Daniel began his first aviation job based out of Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

In the summer of 2025, Daniel proposed to Hayley on the very same mountain in Boulder where they had shared their first date years earlier. Following the proposal, they met family and friends for dinner at The Sink followed by a celebratory glass of champagne at the base of Chautauqua.

Today, Daniel and Hayley live in Los Angeles, California with their dog, Bruno, and two cats, Benny and Björn. Daniel is an airline captain for JSX Air based out of Burbank Airport, and Hayley continues to explore the many paths within nursing, from the Emergency Room to Labor and Delivery.

They are excited to celebrate their special day with family and friends from around the world this coming July.
